Jewish advocacy groups are blowing up democratic New York City mayoral candidate Zoran Mamdani by sharing videos of Hanukkah’s Jewish traditions on social media.
The organization stops anti-Semitism, and Mamdani says he posted a “sick” video on his X account last year. This video originally came from the Geetta Brothers Duet Group. The Duet Group is a satirical, comedic duo dressed in stereotypical Jewish clothing for performances.
“Zohran Mamdani posts Indian men cosplaying as Jews, spins Draydel and lights up Menorah,” anti-Semitism wrote in X’s statement.
“Our holidays and traditions are sacred and not for the joy of your comedy, Zohran Mamdani – this is sick,” the group added, tagging the mayoral candidate.
Top Democrats, media demands Zoran Mamdani condemns phrase “intifada globalization”
Mamdani posted the video in December 2024, adding the caption “A Happy 3 Day Night in Hanukkah, Astoria and Long Island City.”
The video comes from the 2015 parody album “Punjabi Christmas Albums Hits” from Geeta Brothers.
Mamdani posted another video of the same album on Christmas Eve. This is based on “Jingle Bells.”
“We wish you all Merry Christmas from Astoria and Long Island City,” he wrote at the time.
Mamdani’s campaign did not immediately respond to requests for comment from Fox News Digital.

The anti-Semitism accusations plagued the Mamdani campaign from the start. Self-proclaimed democratic socialists have rejected multiple times to recognize Israel’s rights as a Jewish state, supporting the BDS movement against Israel.
“I think Israel has a right to exist,” he said during a major discussion by the mayor in June.
“As a Jewish nation?” moderators were pushed.
“As a state with equal rights,” Mamdani said.

He later recounted in an interview with Fox 5 that he opposed Israel’s Jewish state.
“I am not comfortable supporting a nation that has a hierarchy of citizenship based on religion or something,” he said.
Dave Rubin warns Jews to “put out hell” in New York if Mamdani becomes mayor
Muslim Mamdani faces criticism for her refusal to condemn the phrase “globalization of intifadas.”
Last week, Liora Rez, founder of Stopantisemitism, argued that electing mayor Mamdani was not only “devastating” for Jewish residents, but also “devastating” for all living in the city.
“If Zohran Mamdani is elected mayor, it will be devastating for Jewish residents of New York City,” Rez told Fox News Digital. “And we will take it a step further in a place where New York City citizens in general suffer as well, due to his very troublesome stance on socialism.”

“I think that individuals who are concerned about Zohran Mamdani’s anti-Semiticism have the right to be concerned about any rights given his past actions,” Rez added. “We can list dozens of examples of his past anti-Semitic neighbourhood and direct anti-Semitic behavior.”
