With an incredible result ending the 2025 NFL Honorary Program, the Buffalo Bills star was the best player during the 2024 regular season.
He closed Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson with four first-place votes, winning the fight 27-23. In total, Allen tallied 383 points to Jackson’s 362.
Philadelphia Eagles star Saquon Barkley scored third points, followed by Joe Barrow of the Cincinnati Bengals and Jared Goff of the Detroit Lions.

Jackson was primarily expected to win awards. He beat Allen with first-place votes from 30 to 18, earning AP First Team All-Pro honours. It was in 1987 that the first team All-Pro did not win the MVP. This saw John Elway claiming the MVP award against Joe Montana.
Allen threw for 3,731 yards, 28 touchdowns and six picks for 531 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns. Buffalo also won the AFC East in five years of running, making him the first player in NFL history to win five straight wins with at least 40 touchdowns.
Two-time MVP Jackson recorded a career-high with 4,172 yards passing and 41 touchdowns. He also rushed for his most since 2020, four touchdowns for 915 yards.
The bill finished 13-4 with the AFC’s second seed, with Baltimore grabbing No. 3 with a 12-5 record. The MVP is a regular season award, but Allen’s team met in the division round, when Allen’s team won Jackson’s victory 27-25.
