Judicial department attacks Minneapolis prosecutors with Soros in civil rights investigation

The Justice Department has launched a civil rights investigation into a new directive from the Hennepin County Lawyer’s Office in the Minneapolis area to allow prosecutors to consider race as they negotiate plea deals with criminal defendants.

Attorney General Pam Bondy, acting assistant attorney general Chad Mizzell and civil rights division attorney general Harmmuyron told Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty that the Department of Justice’s office in Hennepin County “the Constitution or the unionist is being followed, or there is a judicial person.

The letter dated May 2nd adopted the recently adopted “Negotiation Policy for Cases Including Adult Defendants.” This directed the prosecutors to consider race when formulating the offer of plea, saying “racial identity should be part of the overall analysis,” and that the prosecutors should “identify and address racial disparities at decision points.”

“The investigation will focus in particular on whether HCAOs are involved in illegal consideration of race in prosecutors’ decisions,” they said in a letter Dillon shared with X.

Soros’ prosecutors ripped for not charging Waltz’s staff against Tesla Bandarism: “Two-tier judicial system.”

Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty discussed the decision to dismiss the lawsuit against Minnesota trooper Ryan Rondolegan over the murder of King Ricky Cobb II.

Bondi, Mizelle and Dhillon said their investigation would include “a comprehensive review of all relevant HCAO policies and practices that could involve illegal consideration of race in prosecutors’ decisions.”

Dillon also approved a “full investigation to determine whether HCAO is engaged in patterns or practices that deprive rights, privileges, or immunity protected or protected by the US constitution or law.”

“Please ensure that we have not reached a conclusion on the subject of the investigation,” their letter to Moriarty said. “We welcome your assistance in reviewing all relevant information and identifying what it is. We appreciate your cooperation in our investigation. Over our years, in order to enforce civil rights laws, including state and local law enforcement, we have worked with jurisdictions of all sizes across the country to resolve investigations without litigation.”

The letter said the Civil Rights Division special litigation section will oversee the investigation and contact Moriarty.

Fox News Digital reached out to Moriarty’s office and DOJ on Sunday for comment.

Moriarty was elected amid the wave of progressive district attorneys who took office after the subsequent protests and riots of black lives in Minneapolis. She is supported by a money-linked group of mega-donor George Soros, one of the most prominent supporters of progressive issues in the United States.

Moriarty, the former chief public defender of the county, became Hennepin County Attorney in January 2023 after committing to take police responsibility in the community where Floyd was killed.

Moriarty’s two direct predecessors have been in office for 31 years, and her promise of dramatic change was supported by the state’s Democratic and community leaders. But since then, Moriarty has faced a fierce backlash, even among some former supporters. This is because critics have sometimes sought mild sentences for violent crimes and questioned the decision to divert more people to programs rather than prisons.

Police officers, local officials and several progressive activists accused Moriarty after accusing white state police officers of murdering a black man last summer. Leaders of the Minnesota Police and Peace Officers Association have launched a well-known campaign urging state governor and former Democratic vice presidential candidate Tim Waltz to reassign prosecutors from Moriarty.

Last month, Northstar Republicans accused Moriarty of not charging Walz staff who allegedly destroyed at least six Tesla vehicles. President Donald Trump’s administration has identified Tesla vandalism as “domestic terrorism” and has led nationwide efforts to meet accountability to vandals alongside the Justice Department.
