Former Vice President Kamala Harris has revealed her latest project, a new book.
“What the world saw on the campaign trail was just part of the story. My new book is a behind-the-scenes look at my experience leading the shortest presidential campaign in modern history,” she wrote in a post on X.
The book is called “107 Days” and is the length of her presidential election for the 2024 election against President Donald Trump. The announcement comes the day after Harris announced he would not run for California governor.
“Just a year ago, I launched a campaign for the President of the United States. I traveled the country for 107 days and fought for our future. The Shortest Presidential Election Campaign in Modern History,” she explained in a video accompanying the post. ”
She described the campaign as “strong, highly interested and deeply personal” for herself and many of her supporters.
“After I left, I spent a lot of time looking back at the time. I talk to my team, my family, my friends and I’ll put together my thoughts. Essentially, I’m writing a diary called ‘107 Days’,” she continued.
She said she wrote the book for “Candor and Reflection.”
“I believe there is value in sharing what I see, what I have learned, and what I know is what it takes to move forward,” she explained. “As I wrote this book, one truth has returned to me. Sometimes the fight takes a while. But I remain hopeful and have a clear eye.”
“We will not stop fighting to always represent our people and reflect our ideals in the best.”
“107 Days” will be released on September 23rd.
