Former Vice President Kamala Harris returned to the political scene with a fierce speech on Wednesday night, where she denounced the first 100 days of the Trump administration.
Harris has had a very negative and often angry message in her first speech since she resigned, even saying that “we’re looking at wholesale” of American ideals in relation to President Donald Trump’s priorities.
“Now I know that tonight’s event will happen 100 days after taking office. I’ll leave it to others to fully explain what has happened so far,” she said. “But I say this: Instead of an administration that works to advance America’s highest ideals, we are witnessing the abandonment of wholesale of those ideals.”
Harris accused Trump of “advancing the agenda.” [of] It threatens to bring America’s narrow, selfish vision, “constitutional crisis” to the nation.

She accused Trump of bringing “chaos” to the United States through his tariff policies and accusing him of being responsible for “the biggest artificial economic crisis in modern presidential history.”
But beyond this, Harris argued that the Trump administration is moving forward with a deliberate vision that undermines American democracy.
“Some people have described what’s going on in the last few months as an absolute confusion. Of course, I understand why. That certainly applies to those tariffs,” she said. “But friends, don’t be fooled by thinking it’s all confusing.”
She continued: “What we are actually witnessing is the fast events. Ships are being used to speed up the decades of agenda. The agenda for reducing public education, the agenda for reducing government and privatizing its services, gives tax violations to the wealthy among us.”

“We live in the vision of America right now,” Harris continued. “It’s an agenda, a narrow, selfish vision for America, and they support the Loyalists who punish the True Terror, cash out their powers, and make themselves involved with her as they all abandon their allies and retreat from the world.”
Harris further hinted at the Trump administration’s allegations of illegal deportation of foreigners and MS-13 gang member Kilmer Abrego Garcia, saying “it is not alright to detain and destroy American citizens or those without legitimate proceedings.”
She named several lawmakers, including Sen. Chris Van Hollen, and praised Congressional Democrats for their actions in resisting the Trump administration. Senator Cory Booker, Dn.J. ; Senator Bernie Sanders, I-Vt. Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Dn.Y., said, “We’re talking about this moment in a different way, with moral clarity.”
The former vice president said he was inspired by the Democratic election victory in the Wisconsin Supreme Court elections and the “courage of judges in favor of the rule of law” and the “universities that violate the unconstitutional demands that threaten the pursuit of truth and academic independence.”

Harris continues, “If Congress fails to do that role, or if the court fails to do its part, or if both have done their part, but the president refuses anyway.

Harris gave a speech at the 20th anniversary gala of Emelge in San Francisco. Emerge is a training organization that seeks to prepare Democrat women for office and charged $25 to allow viewers to access the virtual live stream. Other packaging options included a $100 fee and a $250 general admission ticket for young professionals.
The former vice president did not address rumors that she might be considering running the California governor.
