Newou can listen to Fox News articles!

Former Vice President Kamala Harris has returned to the national spotlight for her upcoming books on the 2024 short-lived White House campaign. She’ll be talking about whether she’ll try again in 2028.

Politicos is eagerly watching Harris for the next move, but she is R-KY, chairman of the House Oversight Committee. I’m also looking at the following.

Comer assured that his committee would contact Harris while appearing on “Ingraham Angle” last week. He joined the Fox News Channel shortly after Harris announced he would not run for California governor.

“I think that’s another great thing about Kamala Harris not running for governor. She’ll spend more time before the House Oversight Committee and testify about Joe Biden’s cognitive decline,” Comer said. “So I think the chances of Kamala Harris getting a summon are very high.”

When he recently appeared in “The Late Show with Stephen Colbert,” Harris distanced himself from his immediate election ambitions. She stressed that she wanted to hear from all voters, but doesn’t necessarily rule out the future president’s run.

“I always believed that we are as fragile as our democracy. I believe that our system is strong enough to adhere to our most fundamental principles, and now I don’t think they are as strong as necessary,” Harris said.

“And now I don’t want to go back to the system. I want to, I want to travel around the country. I want to hear people. I want to talk to people.

Jonathan Turley, a contributor and professor at Fox News at George Washington University Law School, told Fox News Digital that the optics for Congressional subpoena are not ideal for 2028 candidates.

“This is a difficult question for Harris. Harris clearly wants to run again,” Turley said when asked if he would advise Harris to appear. “The committee can force her to show up, but the optics that force a subpoena are not exactly optimal for anyone wanting to run to this office again.”

However, he added that Harris will become the “natural” target for Comer’s probe.

“Harris had a unique place within the inner circle of the White House,” Turley said.

But Trey Gordy, Rs.C., both he and the former chairman of the House Oversight Committee. He is now a host of the Fox News Channel, but it is doubtful that taking Harris will provide much more information.

“Is it worth researching? Absolutely. Is it worth taking on it? Yes. Is she going to cooperate? No?”

A former South Carolina legislator who served as federal prosecutor predicted that Harris’ attorney would attempt to fill the potential appearance of the quagmire of legal proceedings arising from administrative and/or presidential claims.

“That privilege was repeatedly invoked by both parties during the investigation of Congress,” Gordy said.

“Because of the analogy, you can’t rule out your name and think of an advisor closer to the president than the vice president, so you can just sue whether you can file a lawsuit against the vice president and sue him or she can force him to have a conversation with the chief of staff and talk about his conversation with the president.

Tarley said House investigators must be armed with “specific” questions to avoid someone like Harris being able to answer with “questions for opinions.”

Gordy was a “legal” witness for Harris to bring in, and agreed that the issue of Biden’s use of an autopen for pardon “needs further scrutiny.”

However, he warned that a strong summon would affect the violation.

“Prosecutors can send police officers to have them [people] Congress cannot do that. A judge may send a Marshall or sheriff’s deputy to bring the witness in case the witness is rejected. Congress can’t do that,” Gordy said.

A Biden spokesman declined to comment on the threat of Comer’s subpoena when Fox News Digital reached it.

Harris and a spokesman for the House Oversight Committee said Democrats did not reply to requests for comment.
