Los Angeles Democratic Mayor Karen Bass sparked controversy on social media after he attempted to sabotage ice agents by raiding immigrants and calling them “outrageous” and “non-American.”
Bass, who was the voice of the city’s immigration attack, appeared on the scene and demanded that agents speak to ICE leadership on Monday while conducting an operation near MacArthur Park.
“They need to leave, they need to leave now. This is unacceptable, so they need to leave!” Bass said on the scene.
Bass claimed on social media that there were children playing in the park. It is well known in the area as a breeding ground for homelessness and crime even during the daytime.

In addition to social media fallout, Border Patrol chief Gregory Bovino told Fox News he had spoken by phone on the scene when he requested that he stop the attack.
“I don’t work for Karen Base,” Bovino said. “This will be normal soon, so try and get used to it now. We’ll be going anywhere, anytime in Los Angeles.”
