The Walking Dead, 9-1-1, and Chicago Med actress Kelly Mac has passed away.
According to her sister, Mac passed away on Saturday. She was 33 years old, reports KTLA sister station WKBN.
“It’s an indelible sadness that we announce the passing of dear Kelly,” reads her official Instagram post along with her photos. “This bright and passionate light has shifted to what we all have to go on in the end.”

Mac was suffering from glioma, a tumor affecting her central nervous system, according to a two-page announcement of her path shared by her family. According to the Cleveland Clinic, there are several types of glioma. All types are malignant and usually grow in the brain or spinal cord.
Kelly and her family also recorded her treatment, including surgery and proton radiation therapy. (According to the Cleveland Clinic, gliomas usually require a “treatment combination.”
With IMDB resumes dating back to 2008, Mac has appeared in many shorts, feature films and TV series, but was probably best known for his role as Addy in “The Walking Dead.”
Mac’s co-stars shared memories of working with the actress on social media.
“What an incredible person” and “The Walking Dead” Alana Masterson wrote about Mac. “I’m proud to have fought together in our final episode.”
“I feel so blessed to have crossed the road with Kelly,” said Walking Dead alum Gustavo Gomez. “You were a very bright light. Rest in peace, friends.”
Mac’s family has announced that a celebration of life will be held on August 16th in Glendale, Ohio. They said another celebration was planned for Los Angeles at a later date.
“She is deeply overlooked, but she remembers forever because of her talent, kindness and vibrant spirit,” they wrote.
