Texas Sen. Angela Paxton announced Thursday that she has filed for divorce from her longtime husband, Attorney General Ken Paxton.
“Today, after 38 years of marriage, I filed for divorce on biblical reasons,” the state senator wrote in a social media post.
“I think marriage is a sacred contract and we have seriously pursued reconciliation,” she added. “However, in light of recent discoveries, I do not believe it either respects God or loves myself, my children, or Ken to stay in marriage.”
Ken Paxton is now the GOP primary for next year, and is becoming a sly and troubling Senate nomination fight against longtime Republican Sen. John Cornyn.

“What Ken Paxton put his family is really repulsive and disgusting. No one has to endure what Senator Paxton has, and we pray for her as she chose to stand up for herself and her family during this difficult time.”
