Kerry Washington receives star on Hollywood Walk of Fame – NBC Los Angeles

Actress Kerry Washington became the latest recipient of the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Monday for her career in film and television.

Kelly thanked her parents for teaching her to dream and pursue.

“Mom and Dad, can you believe it? Is this a real star?” Washington said in a speech at the star’s unveiling ceremony.

The actress also thanked her fans and supporters for making Monday’s moment possible.

“Many of you have been a part of how I got here. My prayer today is that the light of my star continues to connect me with the light that shines on each of you.” she said.

The ceremony coincided with the premiere of her new film, The Six Triple Eight, written and directed by Tyler Perry, on Netflix.

Shonda Rhimes and Tyler Perry congratulated Washington on Monday at the unveiling of their stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Perry attended the unveiling in Washington along with Shonda Rhimes, who produced the 2012-2018 political thriller Scandal, which she stars in, at a location near Vine Street and Argyle Avenue in front of the W Hollywood Hotel. It is planned to be located.
