A Southern California man is recovering after being pulled out of a burning car by a good Samaritan after crashing on a highway of 105.
Stefan “The Foosh” Cabezas works as technical director for “The Conway Show” and “Later With Mo’kelly” on KFI AM 640 Radio.
On August 7th, when Cabezas did not show up for work, his colleagues began to worry. They tried to call him, but the call couldn’t be answered.
“I went for three hours yesterday and panicked, trying to figure out where he was,” his colleague, Tim Conway Jr., told KTLA’s Rick Chambers.

Conway said he was about to change the lane when Cavezas was cut off by another driver. The sudden maneuvering caused his car to hit the guardrail before shaking it, eventually setting fire.
Cabezas’ mother said her son’s arm was outside the car window as the car rolled. When he was left trapped in a burning car, three good Samaritans quickly pulled in and rushed to drive him out.
They successfully pulled him away from the burning car, helping a fourth person put a tourniquet on his broken arm.
Police said that without the prompt action of those bystanders, Kabeza would not have survived. He was rushed to Port Ukra Medical Center for surgery.
His colleagues were afraid of the worst as they couldn’t access the updates. “I thought he was gone,” Conway said. “I felt the worst feeling in the world.”
His family and friends were relieved when they learned that he had survived the crash. He had his second surgery on August 8th and remained on an ICU ventilator. Several more surgeries are planned in the future.
Now his loved ones want to identify the good Samaritan who rescued Kabeza that day.
Outside of his work at KFI Radio, Cabezas also works as an Uber driver and interacts with him. His family said they were worried because they could not work for a while while he recovered.
