Police say John Redcorn, the voice actor best known as John Redcorn, best known as John Redcorn in “King of the Hill,” was shot over the weekend.
San Antonio police said in a statement to NBC News that the suspect, 56-year-old Sigfredo Alvarez Ceja, was taken into custody and booked for murder.
Officers fired Dorsey Drive around 7pm on Saturday night, and arrived for an ongoing shooting and after being shot, they arrived to find actor Jonathan Jos Gonzalez near the road, police said.
Authorities attempted life-saving measures until EMS arrived and pronounced the death of 59-year-old Joss.
Joss replaced the late Victor Aaron, the voice actor for John Red Corn in the hit Fox animated series “King of the Hill.” He also played Ken Scallop in “Parcs of Recreation,” playing a role in “Tulsa King” and in the 2016 remakes of “The Magniffin Seven.”
His most recent acting credits came in 2023 for voicing the character in the “Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty” video game.
Joss’ representatives and family members could not immediately contact them for comment.
