Firefighters at Station 79 in Coachella were “Cat the Heat” when asked to rescue a kitten trapped in the car’s bottom seat on Thursday, officials said.
“A interested citizen drove and reported mystical moisture from the engine,” reads a Facebook post from the Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department (RCFD).
Firefighter Lucid, Firefighter Ipolitto, Firefighter Engineer Calderon, and Firefighter Engineer The Potockey scrutinized the vehicle until they found a “little flashball” hidden deep inside the getaway.
“Despite the temperature of the sc fever, this tough kitten has turned its path to survival,” said Cal Fire/RCFD.
