Knott’s parent company, Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, announced Thursday that Knott’s Soak City will soon undergo a “waterpark renovation” during the 2026 operating season.
“Knott’s Soak City will receive a water park renovation and aesthetic enhancements,” the news release states, but no details were released about what exactly would be updated or changed.
This “refresh” is part of Six Flags Entertainment Corporation’s $1 billion investment to improve the guest experience.

“Our capital investment plans over the next two years will continue to deliver unparalleled thrills, immersive entertainment and lifelong memories to families of all ages,” Six Flags President and CEO Richard A. Zimmerman said in a statement. “This service reinforces our commitment to serving our guests in all walks of life.” “The new Six Flags has a unique opportunity to refresh and update the guest experience, and its attractions are so compelling that a visit to the park should be considered an essential choice for family entertainment. The $1 billion investment will be used for “new rides, attractions, themed areas, dining upgrades and technology enhancements,” company officials said.
Knott’s Berry Farm’s former parent company, Cedar Fair, and Six Flags merged earlier this year in an $8 billion deal.
Company officials said more information about the water park’s renovation will be shared in summer 2025.
