The iconic mural paying homage to late Lakers legend Coby Bryant and his daughter Gianna “Gigi” Bryant was destroyed in downtown Los Angeles.
The mural on Main Street near West 14th Avenue was created by the movement of artist Louie “Slow” shortly after Kobe and seven others died in the January 2020 helicopter crash crash.
A video recorded Tuesday morning showed the majority of the mural painted with graffiti, showing the Hall of Fame basketball star kissing his smiling daughter on the head.
It is unclear exactly when the mural was destroyed and who was responsible.

GoFundMe was launched to raise funds to help restore the iconic mural.
Kobe was scheduled to coach Gigi’s basketball team on the tragic morning of the crash.
Eight passengers and one pilot flew down the hillside when the pilot lost orientation as helicopters entered the low cloud cover on his way from Santa Ana’s John Wayne Airport to Camarillo Airport.
