To be the next Secretary of Land Security, Governor Christie Noem’s nomination broke important hurdles in the confirmation process on Friday night and proceeded to the final voting in the second half of this weekend.
Her confirmation vote will be held early in the morning on Sunday.

If confirmed, Noem will be the fourth of President Donald Trump to move forward from the Senate after the Secretary of State Marco Rubio, the director of John Ratcriffs, and the New Defense Defense Secretary Peat Hesthes.
The voting expected immediately after noeM is the vote of the Secretary of Finance Scott Bessent, followed by Sean Duffy.

“If it is confirmed as a secretary, we guarantee that our exceptional and extraordinary border guard agents have all the tools, resources and supports needed to effectively execute their missions. Masu.”
