Already strange stories, including crash on the Los Angeles highway, unleashing the manhunt, making the arrest of a man in underwear and a dissolving woman shot by the police a bit strange.
According to TMZ, Gillian Lauren, wife of Weezer bassist Scott Schliner, is a “uninvolved” woman shot by police and is now facing an attempted murder charge.
The April 8 incident began at about 3pm in the eastbound lane of the 134 Expressway west of Figuero As Street in Eagle Rock.
The California Highway Patrol responded to reports of a crash in three cars in which three men in one of the vehicles involved fled on foot from the highway, urging CHP to call LA police for backup.
One of the suspects, who was kicked out of the highway by the brothers and sisters who witnessed the collision, entered the Eagle Rock neighborhood, stripped by a boxer, and leapt into the resident’s pool to water the garden in an attempt to blend in.

The bassist’s wife allegedly emerged from a gun-armed neighbor while police searched the suspect’s backyard in the Eagle Vista Drive and Wald Place areas.
A LAPD spokesman told KTLA that the woman (reportedly Gillian Lauren) had rejected multiple orders to drop the firearm before officers opened the fire and hit her shoulder. She then resigned.

In a report by TMZ, Lauren not only refused the officer’s orders, but was also allegedly pointed a gun at police, urging her to fire.
Police have not shown whether she fired a gun.
Meanwhile, Sky5 had crossed the scene when the suspect in her underwear was captured, cuffed and arrested.
Shortly afterwards, Sky5 shot aerial footage of Lauren and another woman, reportedly her child’s babysitter, and raised her hands and came out of the residence in the 1200 block of Eagle Vista Drive. The two women were ordered to walk down the driveway and were told to lie in the street while police were in custody.
A medical worker at the LA Fire Station, who was on standby, puts Lauren in an ambulance and takes her to the hospital, where she was treated for a life-threatening gunshot wound injury, police said.
Both her and the babysitter were questioned and first reported that they were later released.
However, TMZ reported that Lauren was later booked for an attempted murder charge, and that police had recovered a 9mm handgun from the residence.
Two other male suspects allegedly fled the scene of the crash on the 134 highway are still large.
Shriner has recorded 12 albums since joining Weezer in 2001. The band will be performing at Coachella.
