Angelenos requires Covid-19 testing, overdose reversal drugs, and other health-related needs. Free access is available at Los Angeles County’s new Community Health Station.
The station, essentially a vending machine that offers equipment free of charge, was announced this week by the county’s Department of Public Health.

The following items are available at 51 stations throughout the county.
The Covid-19 Self-Test Kit allows Angelenos to better diagnose symptoms. Each box contains two tests. Naloxone, also known by the brand name Narcan, reverses opioid overdose. Each order includes two disposable devices and usage instructions in a Blister package. Fentanyl test strips allow detection of dangerous opioids. Each kit includes five individually packaged strips and instructions to use. External condoms and lubricants are intended to better protect people’s health and prevent unnecessary pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases. Each package has five condoms and five containers of non-permeable lubricant. The internal condoms perform similar functions. Each package includes one internal condom and instructions for use.
“Covid-19 self-test, naloxone, fentanyl test strips, and condoms allow individuals to take action that protects themselves and others in their community,” said Barbara Feller, director of public health. “Through a self-service community health station, having free public health products available to residents seven days a week will make it easier to access critical products that support health and save lives.”
