The Los Angeles County Committee has proposed a new measure on Tuesday morning to prioritize 50 HCV vouchers to some of the LA county residents as a result of the January fire.
The HCV voucher is well known as a section 8 voucher, but is a federal housing support program provided by the US Housing City Development Bureau. This program provides rental prices provided to low -income individuals and families, ensuring safe, decent, affordable houses in the private rental market.
How it works is as follows. If you pass, the movement will secure 50 of these vouchers for the victims of the wildfire that lost their homes due to the Parisard and Eaton fire.
The Los Angeles County Development Bureau will create a new local choice for firefighters, and qualified residents can provide support on a first -come, first -served basis.
To get a qualification, residents need to earn less than 50 % of the median of the regional income.
“Many of the inhabitants influenced by these wildflowers were now a lessee, who is currently facing a major challenge to secure a new house,” said Cassin Burger, chairman of the Director Committee. 。 “These vouchers work as an important lifeline for refugees who are struggling to create the stability of children and households.
