As a longtime leader in Nightlife News, Timeout recently voted for thousands of people in the world’s best cities and looked into where these residents of the finest global spots on the planet flock to the needs of their parties. With its legendary regions and thousands of subcultures, it’s no surprise that Angel City has ranked one of the American nightlife capitals.

The timeout investigation was comprehensive. Reagers and wine bars, calm clubs, dingy dives, dinner clubs, and listening bars – asked readers to rate both the quality and affordable prices of the city. In the final tally, Los Angeles came in sixth, behind New York, Miami, New Orleans, Chicago and overall winner Las Vegas.
Sin City actually won the top global spot, abdicated last year’s winner Rio de Janeiro. This year we didn’t fall below the top 10 (those things happen!).
