Los Angeles drivers will need to prepare for the numerous road closures related to the 40th run of the Los Angeles Marathon, announced by ASICS on Sunday, March 16th.
The 26.2-mile racecourse begins at Dodger Stadium and runs through Chinatown, Echo Park, Silver Lake, Titown, Hollywood, West Hollywood, Beverly Hills and Westwood with a finish line in Century City.
Most of the race travels along Sunset, Hollywood and Santa Monica Boulevard, and is not permitted to cross the course.
Road closures begin early at 3am and affect both ground and ramps along the 101 and 405 highways.

The race begins at 7am and the streets resume on a rolling basis once athletes complete the course.
