Officials said Monday that the bodies of the last two individuals, unrecorded, have been found after the discovery of the tragic boat incident on Lake Tahoe on Saturday, bringing the final death toll to eight.
The incident occurred late afternoon and early Saturday, according to the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office, where multiple reports of capsizing ships carrying 10 people near DL Bliss State Park were reported before 5pm.
The lake reportedly had experienced a large swell, with waves reaching 6-8 feet tall. Witnesses told Southaho that winds suddenly picked up around 3pm, creating dangerous conditions for the waters.
Local agents, along with the U.S. Coast Guard and California State Park, responded to the lake, reporting that witnesses saw a group of people underwater near a 27-foot (8-meter) gold crustal ship.

Six adults were found dead. Two survivors were rescued from the water and taken to a local hospital. The other two have remained immeasurable up until now.
The Eldorado County Sheriff’s Office said search and rescue teams found the first team of two missing boats on Sunday. “Unfortunately, Boter has passed away,” the sheriff’s office said.
The last missing person was found to have passed away about 2:40pm on Monday, and crew members recovered their bodies from the lake. “No one is explained anymore from this tragic event,” the Sheriff’s Office said. “The search and recovery efforts have concluded. When all notifications are made, the victim’s identification will be announced.”
