Investigators in Los Angeles testified Wednesday at an ongoing federal trial against Sean “Diddy” Combs in New York City, recalling findings relating to rapper Kid Coody over a decade ago.
Kid Cudi, Scott Ramon Seguro Mescudi, testified last week that his relationship with Combs girlfriend Cassie Ventura made him the target of a Hollywood Hills invasion and a Molotov cocktail attack. Ventura also testified that Combs threatened to injure Cudi and blow up the car.
Officer Chris Ignacio, a 16-year veteran of LAPD, took his position as his first witness on Wednesday, recalling a call in late 2011 about a possible break-in at Cudi’s Hollywood Hills home.
The officer testified as he entered the rapper’s house, and he saw a table with Christmas presents. Kudi had testified that he believed that Combs had broken into his home and opened the gift he had purchased for his family.
Ignacio also testified that he saw a Cadillac escalade in front of his home, with the car license plate being the Bad Boy Productions, Inc., one of Combs’ companies. testified that it was registered in.
Officers said that despite reports of trespassing, he and his team had no confirmed cases of robbery or other crimes at the time.
Ignacio also added that when answering the defense attorney’s questions there was no evidence or report of the stolen item. LAPD officials also testified that there were no reports made to him at the time when there was a threat to kill anyone.
When LAFD arson investigator Lance Jimenez stood up, he said he was dispatched to Kudi’s house on January 9, 2021 and found rapper Porsche with a long legged cut on the top of the canvas in an apparent “target crime.”
As Jimenez recalled seeing the Molotov cocktail, investigators testified that the fingerprints lifted from the investigation had been destroyed because they had not caused much damage inside the car.
Testimony about the lost fingerprint urged defenses to seek false review as it condemned the comb’s fraud charges for the meaning that it may have destroyed fingerprint evidence.
However, Judge Arun Subramanian denied the allegations of the erroneous statement.
LAFD investigators also testified that when he tried to interview them he failed to reach Capricorn Clark, former supporter of Cathy Ventura and Combs.
Following testimony from LAFD and LAPD, celebrity stylists confronted explaining what they saw between combs and Ventura.
Meanwhile, NBC News confirmed that Kathy Ventura had given birth on Tuesday, about two weeks after taking the position as a witness to Sean Combs’ federal sex trafficking trial.
The baby is third with her husband, Alex Fine. Ventura announced her pregnancy in an Instagram post featuring black and white photos of the family, including the couple’s two young daughters.
