Another milestone awaits LeBron James: 50,000 NBA points.
He’s one point away from reaching that number. This takes into account his regular season and playoff scores. He is officially at 49,999 for now, as he scored 99 points in the play-in tournament game and the 2023 season tournament finals will not count, according to NBA rules.
James was able to score the mark on Tuesday night, when the Los Angeles Lakers host the New Orleans Pelican.
Please see the size of 50,000 points.
Only 2 other players are 40,000
The two other players besides James, who scored more than 40,000 points in the NBA regular season and playoff games, were Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (44,149) and Karl Malone (41,689).
Kobe Bryant (39,283) and Michael Jordan (38,279) are approaching.
Is someone else ever going to win 50,000?
perhaps. Probably not. Certainly, there is no time anytime soon and not under current rules. If the league adds 4-point shots along these lines, it’s obviously easier for a good player to accumulate points.
Kevin Durant is second only to James among the active players with 35,191 points, including the playoffs. This means that even if you average 2,000 points per season (I’ve only done one in the last five years), you’ll need to play when you reach 50,000 in the 2032-33 season.
Who does James oppose most?
As for the total points, it’s the Boston Celtics. They gave up 2,935 points to James. Regarding points per game, it’s Golden State Warriors (29.4).
When did James reach other milestones?
