As NBC 5 reported on Oct. 22, Tarrant County officials said there was no evidence to support voters’ claims that their choices had changed and that the incorrect selections were discovered on voters’ printed ballots. When the election worker said the original ballot was invalidated, the voter re-voted, confirmed his choice, and then the vote was cast.
Patrick’s post went on to share state data. “As of today, of the nearly 7 million votes cast across the state, there are fewer than 10 allegations that a vote was flipped. There is not a single confirmation that that actually happened.”
County officials encourage all voters to “verify their selections on their paper ballot before placing it in the scanner to be counted.”
More than half of Tarrant County’s 1.3 million registered voters voted early, with an average of 53,000 people voting early each day during the 12-day early voting period.
Tuesday, November 5th is Election Day. That day, voting will open in Texas from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. If you are in line by 7pm on Election Day, you will be allowed to vote.
