Disney’s “Lilo & Stitch” won $183 million over the four-day weekend and $183 million over the four-day weekend, according to updated industry estimates released today.

The two films burn the box office for the largest Memorial Day weekend in North American history, with around $325 million in tickets likely to be sold by the end of Monday’s holiday. Previous records were $306 million in 2013, led by Fast & Furious 6 and The Dankover Part III.
In third place, I went to last weekend’s top gross movie, Final Destination Bloodlines. This sold $23.9 million on its second weekend in theaters from Friday to Monday.
“Thunderbolts” ranked fourth in week 4 with $11.8 million, followed by “Sinners” and added another $11 million in week 6.
The top ten domestic releases were “The Last Rodeo” ($6.2 million), “Friendship” ($5.7 million), “Minecraft Movie” ($2.7 million), “Accountant 2” ($2.5 million), and “Hurry Up Tomorrow” ($860,000) ($860,000).
