Limousine drivers accused of launching Eton Fire victims headed to the prom

The limousine company is accused of receiving thousands of dollars donated by a nonprofit that was donated to give young Eaton fire survivors a prom night to remember. Then disappear without words, leaving two dozen doll teenagers unloaded.

The nonprofit head said it was launched on Saturday by Limousine Service With Guy Entertainment, which was homeless in Firestorm in January.

“Alice’s children are furious and heartbroken at Shawn Lasley, owner of Wize Guy Entertainment, failed to provide a limousine service that was paid $4,320.

Longtime Alice children’s supporter Steve Carell released the video in March, announcing the Virginia-based nonprofit that will donate $175,000 to cover prom tickets for around 800 students at six schools in Altadena and Pasadena. Fitzsimmons then traveled to Los Angeles last weekend to attend Preprom celebrations and offered to cover the cost of the limousine as a bonus.

Lasley did not respond to the Times’ request for comment. The Wize Guy Entertainment website was removed after many negative reviews were left by Furious’s parents on the Business Yelp page.

Altadena’s mother Carrie Myers said she was furious when she noticed her children were standing up. Myers lost both her home, which had been in the family for 40 years, and the pet of Business Steve, founded by her uncle in 1971, to Etonfire.

This year has been a nightmare for the whole family and she said this fiasco, which was meant to provide a fun rest that makes the fiasco feel like a sucker punch.

Luckily, students still made it at the prom after their parents ordered Ubers for the group, Myers said. However, they had to miss out on the professional photo shoot that was scheduled to take place along the way.

Fitzsimmons said Alice’s children are committed to keeping the limousine company accountable for alleged no-shows.

“As a nonprofit dedicated to helping children in need, Alice’s children feel that this violation is not only unacceptable, but also a misuse of the Charitable Fund,” he said. “We are requesting a full refund and are ready to pursue every legal and public pathway to ensure accountability.”

Myers added that the parents of the affected teens are also upset.

“The point is, you don’t ruin my child,” she said. “All our moms, you won’t ruin our kids.”
