As multiple wildfires spread across the Los Angeles area, several companies and organizations are offering free or discounted resources to help keep victims and their loved ones safe.
The Palisades wildfire has destroyed at least 1,000 structures since Tuesday, making it the most destructive fire ever in Los Angeles County, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.
Evacuation efforts have repeatedly been complicated by chaotic traffic conditions as large numbers of people try to flee on limited highway space and narrow roads. Click here for a list of road closures.

Uber: Los Angeles County residents who are evicted from their homes can receive credit from Uber to get to a shelter. $40 is only valid for trips to active shelters using code WILDFIRE25.
Lyft: Lyft announced that from now until midnight on January 15th, it will give 500 customers $25 vouchers good for two trips. Use code CAFIRERELIEF25 to get the promotion.

Airbnb: 211 LA has partnered with Airbnb to provide free temporary housing to people displaced by wildfires. Click here for more information.
Queen Mary: The Queen Mary Hotel in Long Beach has announced that rooms for fire evacuees will be priced at $189. Your reservation includes a breakfast buffet coupon for 2 people. This reservation also waives pet fees and historic preservation fees.
Big Bear: This popular retreat spot also offers evacuees a quiet place to turn to for rest and togetherness. This page lists a collection of villas and hotels created specifically for the needs of fire evacuees.
Visit Anaheim: People affected by the wildfires can visit Visit Anaheim’s official website to find special hotel offers and assistance.

Verizon: Verizon announced it would waive call, text and data charges for customers in the hardest-hit areas. The company also deployed free Wi-Fi and charging stations at three wildfire shelters.
