A Long Beach man who coaches high school baseball has been charged with multiple sex offences against a female student, and authorities continue to search for potential victims.
On Monday, Gabriel Vigil, 34, was charged in a Long Beach courtroom count on multiple felonies for having sex with a minor under the age of 18, contacting Minor for sex, and contacting Minor for “distributed or shown porn.” He is also faced with two additional felony counts: meeting minors for indecent purposes.
When the crime occurred between May 1st and July 1st, 2025, Vigill worked as an alternative employee and baseball coach at Cabrillo High School.

He was arrested last week at a Long Beach home near Pacific Avenue and Pacific Coast Highway after school staff reported alleged off-campus abuse, including multiple times at Vigil’s Apartment.
The Long Beach Police Department and the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office said these crimes may not be isolated events and are urging victims to move forward.
“You should exploit trust status in the school environment and know that my target minors will work with law enforcement to find you, arrest you, and keep you fully accountable,” District Attorney Nathan Hochman said in a news release. “We are fully supporting the victims in this case as prosecutors in our sex crimes unit are seeking justice against the perpetrators.”
According to Hochman’s office, Vigil pleaded not guilty to his charges and is in custody on $250,000 bail.
If convicted as a charge, he could face up to eight years in a state prison and would be forced to register as a life sex offender.
He is scheduled again in court on August 4th.
