Police are searching for the suspect in the shooting death of a 21-year-old woman in Long Beach on Friday.
According to the Long Beach Police Department, officers were dispatched around 11:42 a.m. to the 900 block of Gaviota Avenue for a report of a woman suffering from gunshot wounds.
Arriving officers found a woman who had been shot in the upper body. He was later pronounced dead at a local hospital.
The woman was identified as Judge Lopez, 21, of Long Beach.

The suspect fled the scene on foot before authorities arrived. As of Saturday afternoon, there were no further details on the suspect, who remains at large.
Police said an investigation revealed the attack was not believed to have been random, but it was not immediately clear how that determination was made.
