The legendary hot dog stand, which has served Los Angeles customers for over 85 years, has opened a new location at another longtime LA agency.
Pink Hot Dogs began offering their famous hot dogs to the zoo on Friday, in collaboration with the Los Angeles Zoo.
“Pink hot dogs are not open anywhere. Lazzo is a crucial institution in the Los Angeles community, and the marriage of the two brands is a perfect fit,” says Richard Pink, co-owner of Pink Hot Dog.
La Zoo, which opened Gates at its current location in 1966, brings over 1.5 million visitors a year.

“The Los Angeles Zoo and the Pink Hot Dog are both deeply rooted in Los Angeles history and culture. This partnership is something that every Angeleno believes will enjoy.”
Pink has been a Los Angeles landmark since 1939 and boasts a variety of hot dogs and burgers, named after famous people who loved the facility, including famous Lazzo supporter Betty White.
Visitors can find the stand. The stand will serve local favorites, including the famous pink pepper, Guadalaraja and Betty White Dog, next to the zoo’s new Cape Vertua Plaza.
