Los Angeles police are searching for the driver who struck and killed a 57-year-old man in the San Fernando Valley Wednesday night.
According to a news release issued by the Los Angeles Police Department, the unidentified victim was crossing Terra Bella Street at Dorrington Avenue around 9:20 p.m. when he was seen driving westbound on Terra Bella at a high rate of speed. The Dodge Charger collided with a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, described only as a Hispanic male, was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Police said the driver of the Dodge Charger fled westbound and failed to stop to render aid to the victim, as required by law. No other information about the suspect’s vehicle was released.
