Their loved ones are devastated after four friends were killed due to suspected DUI drivers at 605 Freeway in Norwalk.
The crash occurred around 1am on July 20th.
On the highway, and for reasons still under investigation, Nissan crashed into a California highway patrol vehicle.
This effect sent Nissan into another lane, which was disabled due to a collision. That’s when the Kia sedan’s opposing driver was slammed into the back of a Nissan at high speed. Authorities said Nissan was in flames in shock and fatally locked up four friends.

The victim, all 24-year-old, were identified as Julie Harmori, her boyfriend, Armando del Campo, and their two friends, Jordan Partige and Sam Skosiri. They were asserted to be dead at the scene.
Harmori’s aunt, Kathy Sticker, said that one of the victims, Partridge, called her mother, who was waiting for help in a disabled vehicle after her first crash with the CHP vehicle.
“And halfway through the sentence, the line died,” Stinell said.
Bellflower Kia driver Iris Salmeron, 26, and an unidentified passenger were taken to hospital with serious injuries. The CHP officer was not injured.
Salmeron was later arrested and faces multiple felony charges, including driving under the influence.
Their loved ones described them as close friends who enjoyed spending time together with the four victims. Stickel said the victim’s parents are working to support each other, grieving their lost lives.
“All parents are checking each other,” Stinell said. “They are also checking out the people they’ve met throughout this tragedy.”
The joint GoFundMe page created by the victim’s family to assist with funeral costs can be found here.
“This was completely preventable due to the fact that one of the drivers was driving under the influence,” said CHP executive Zachary Salazar. “Our minds are directed at families involved in the victim’s perspective… Our officers will investigate this by putting their full potential.”
