Officials confirmed with KTLA that an investigation is ongoing in Northridge after police shot dead a man who was reportedly armed with a gun.
The incident was caught up in a cell phone camera and unfolded around 7:45pm in the 9300 block of Coving Avenue, not far from Prairie Street.
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department responded to reports of the armed man and were seen in footage obtained by KTLA chasing the suspect on foot through a strip mall parking lot.

Outside a Korean barbecue restaurant, one of the police officers can be seen opening a fire as they run for cover between vehicles parked behind the restaurant. The officer then fires two more shots at the suspect.

Medical workers at the LA Fire Station also responded to the location, possibly seeing suspects loading behind the ambulance.
It is unclear whether the suspect was hit by police shootings, and if so, what condition he was in when he was taken to hospital.
It is also not known whether the firearm was recovered at the suspect or the scene.
On the previous Twitter X, LA police said the shooting involving officers is currently being investigated towards the rear of the 9,000 block of Corbin Avenue, and the addition will be shared when it becomes available.
