R-FLA Rep. Anna Paulina Luna has introduced a one-page bill to abolish the controversial Patriot Act, which was passed shortly after the horrifying terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.
The text of this measure, known as the “American Privacy Repair Act,” reads, “The US Patriot Act was repealed and amended on October 25, 2001 to read such provisions as read.”
“For over 20 years, fraudsters within the US intelligence reporting agency have used Patriot Act to create the most sophisticated and inexplainable surveillance devices in the Western world,” says Luna.

“My law removes the deep state of these tools and protects all American Fourth Amendment against unreasonable searches and seizures. It is past time to curb intelligence reporting agencies and restore privacy rights.
In a post on X, Luna thanked Rep. Eric Burlison, who is a common man on the bill.

Rep. Thomas Massey, who previously promoted bills that included the repeal of the Patriot Act, noted last week in an X post that three Republicans voted against passing it in October 2001.

“The long-term abuse of the Patriot Act made it clear they were justified. Imagine the pressure of just under a month after 9/11. I am sure they are called every name in the book,” writes Massy.
