(Fox 5/Kusi) – One of the leading artists scheduled to perform at this year’s Coachella Festival has cancelled her appearance.
Brazilian star Anitta announced on social media that he has cancelled his appearances at the Music and Arts Festival in Southern California over two weekends in April.

“I was really looking forward to attending Coachella this year, but due to unexpected personal reasons, I am unable to perform. I am truly grateful to the festival for the invitation, understanding and continued support,” Anitta said in X.
“I hope in the future we have the opportunity to join you and share those special moments together,” she added in her second post.
Often called “Brazilian Queen of Brazilian Pop,” Anitta is a singer and songwriter whose music has mixed several genres, including pop, funk and reggaeton, and has been nominated several times for the Grammy and Latin Grammy Awards.
This would have been her third appearance in Coachella. When she performed in 2022, it was the first time a Brazilian solo artist had performed on the main stage.
Anitta will perform in the Southern California region in August and will be performing at Baja Beach Fest in Rosalito, Baja, California.
In recent years, Frank Ocean has cancelled his own appearance at Coachella, and Kid Kudy has had to shorten his performance after a leg injury.
