Back in April 2024, a group of House Republicans also advocated renaming Washington Dulles International Airport in Virginia after President Trump.
Rep. Guy Reschenthaler (R-Pennsylvania), the top Republican in the House, introduced the bill along with six co-sponsors.
“In my lifetime, our country has never been greater under the leadership of President Donald J. Trump,” Reschenthaler previously told FOX News Digital. “There is no greater symbol of freedom, prosperity and strength than hearing ‘Welcome to Trump International Airport’ as millions of domestic and international travelers travel through our airports and land on American soil.”
If passed, it would be the second airport in the Washington, D.C., area to be named after a Republican commander-in-chief, following Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport in Arlington, Virginia.

Rep. Paul Gosar (R-Ariz.) echoed Moore’s sentiments, saying, “What better recognition could there be than naming both airports in our nation’s capital after two of America’s greatest presidents?” “DCA is named after President Reagan, and Dulles is named after President Trump.”
