Exclusive: Astoria, NY – Zoran Mamdani, a Democratic mayoral candidate in New York City, declined to answer questions about Fox News Digital about critics calling him a communist and whether he plans to back one of his leftist statements.
Outside her Queens apartment on Friday morning, Mamdani didn’t laugh at the question, but despite growing competition between mayor Eric Adams, former New York governor Andrew Cuomo and Republican Curtis Sliwa, the answer didn’t.
“Are there any responses to people who label you as a communist?” Fox News Digital asked Mamdani. “When you meet, are you going to return the statement? [House] Does leader Jeffries like to grasp the means of production? ”
