The suspect was arrested Friday night after leading officers in a high-speed chase through Los Angeles and Orange counties.
The suspect was sought for grand theft, and the pursuit reportedly began in the Orange County area. Drivers hit speeds of over 100 mph on the highway before leaving surface streets in South Los Angeles
At one point he threw out some objects from the driver’s side window, perhaps a stolen item.

At one point, police attempted a pit maneuver near Compton Avenue and the East Imperial Highway, but failed to stop the vehicle. The vehicle’s rear bumper was damaged and hanging from the car, but the suspect continued to speed up.
After running around Surface Street, he finally boarded the neighborhood near Hooper Avenue and East 114th Avenue around Watts in South Los Angeles
He was soon surrounded by several officers on the scene and taken into custody.
