The man was arrested after leading police in pursuit of a stolen vehicle in Ventura County.
The suspect was identified as 21-year-old Reuben Gallibey of Port Huneme, according to the Port Huneme Police Department.
On March 23, officers discovered a stolen Hyundai Elantra near Ventura Road and Pleasant Valley Road around 6:18am.
When police tried to stop the car, Galivey refused to make concessions and was allegedly leading the officers during the pursuit.
When Galivey ran into the Oxnard area, he suddenly jumped out of a moving vehicle trying to escape, authorities said. He landed on the road and began to escape.
After searching the area, police eventually found him hiding in the parking lot of a nearby apartment.
He was arrested for car theft, evaded police in his vehicle and was driving with a suspended license. He was also on probation for car theft at the time of his arrest, police said.
The abandoned mobile vehicle rolled into a street curb before becoming a safe stop.
