The man was arrested in Hemet after officers conducted a traffic stop on the motorcyclist and discovered he was the convicted felon.
In a social media post, the police department confirmed that the man identified as the Goodnight ex was wearing a uniform that resembles that of a local law enforcement agency.
Officials also said they have a duty belt with what looks like a Glock-style pistol.
Police said Goodnight was detained and disarmed during a traffic stop.
Upon further searching the motorcyclist, police found him in possession of two Taser electronic control devices, an ASP baton and a container of OC spray. Police said both electronic weapons were functional after being tested on the spot.
The department said Goodnight is a convicted felon and is legally prohibited from possessing firearms or related weapons.
Police have determined that they have not been authorized to provide security services through the California Security Agency (BSIS).
