A man has been arrested and charged with trafficking of a 16-year-old Orange County girl.
The suspect was identified as 46-year-old Donald Newton of Las Vegas, according to the Anaheim Police Department.
On May 30, police received a call reporting a teenage girl who was being held against her will by an armed suspect.
Officers responded to a motel in the 700 block of S. Beach Boulevard in Anaheim, where they found the victim and carried it to a safe location.
The suspect was not found on the premises, but a firearm loaded in the room was found.
About two hours after identifying Newton as the main suspect, detectives found him in Stanton, where he was taken into custody.

He was later charged by the Orange County District Attorney’s Office with:
Pinting Minors Over 16 People who are prohibited from trafficking minors who possess firearms along with minors over 16 years old, and who possess ammunition for three counts of personal use of firearms on felony.
Newton is in custody on $500,000 bail. No further details were released, including how the suspect met the teenager and how long she was held against her will.
