A man with a head covered was taken away after attacking a firefighter inside a Buena Park engine on Thursday night.
The incident occurred in the 5000 block of Knot Avenue when the bike man reached the front of the engine as the crew returned from the incident before 7pm.
The unidentified man then “opened the door and began attacking some of the firefighters in the engine,” said Orange County Fire Battalion Chief Chuck Fedak.
Fedak said the engine was still running when the man jumped inside, so the driver placed the truck in the park while the crew went outside and tried to hug the man.

The attacker managed to circulate around the crew and jumped into the truck and locked the door, Fedak said.
Buena Park police and deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department helped drive the man out of his truck.
The man could hear him scream, “Help me! Someone please help me!” He was then taken to the ground and handcuffed before being taken to a nearby ambulance.
Three firefighters were injured in the attack. “Our members were treated and taken to a local hospital where they had minor injuries,” Fedak said.
