Police are investigating a violent incident in Montebello, with a man and a boy seriously injured on Thursday morning, a woman and a girl who were dead, according to multiple news reports.
The Montebello Police Station responded to the Lohart Avenue residence around 2:30am and found the bodies of the man and boy in the apartment, CBS News reported.
NBC4 said the man’s body was found outside by police who were sweeping the property.
Kabc reported that a neighbor woke up to the lights and sounds of police, looked out the window and saw the body next to the hatch on the ground. According to the KTLA, the boy’s body was found inside a unit within the complex.
The woman and girl were also found with head injuries in the same unit and were hospitalized, the station reported. Those conditions were not readily available.
Neighbors told KTLA that after hearing his 20-year-old daughter screamed, he called police around 2:30am and that something metallic had hit the ground outside the building.
Police told reporters at the scene that no suspects were marked by the incident or the ongoing threat to the community.
