The footage of the chaos was filmed Saturday night at Rose Bowl Stadium, a man who cruelly violated a woman in the stands at a Lufes du Sol concert. Other concert attendees expressed shock over the incident, with some attendees saying they were worried about crowd control and safety measures at the sold-out show.
A video shared by the celebration owl on the festival news platform shows a man knocking a woman to the ground and throwing punches repeatedly while other attendees try to pull him back.
“This guy punched me in the face, knocked me out, causing a huge bleeding. She is seeking the public’s help in identifying the man after the attack that took place in Section 12-H, Line 20 at the venue.
The victim said the man was upset after the drink accidentally spilled on him. According to the woman, he then cried that the leak was intentional and had been attacked 30 minutes later before yelling and threatening threatening violence.
“I tried to calm the situation down and apologize again, and the next thing I remember was to wake up in my medical tent an hour later and miss the entire show,” the woman wrote.
The Australian electronic music trio said in a statement shared on social media Monday night that they were heartbroken to hear about the violence that took place in the show’s opening act. They encouraged anyone with information about the incident to contact the Pasadena Police Department.
“This type of behavior is completely unacceptable everywhere. The fact that this happened in one of our shows was devastating to hear,” the group wrote. “Local law enforcement is actively investigating the situation.”
The concert organizers were criticised on social media, with fans complaining about the long lines, packed venues and poor crowd control.
“It was honestly out of control. It was a circus. It wasn’t safe and I was very angry,” said the concert enthusiast, identified as Derek told NBC4 News.
Christina Molina told KTLA News that the venue was packed with people watching the show from the sidewalk.
“Literally people were pushing against my back and they were all blocking the entire aisle,” she told the station. “There was no control over the crowd.”
