Authorities identified the man who was found wrapped in a tarp outside a Pasadena goodwill earlier this week.
The man has been identified as 31-year-old Shaved Adams, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Adams, who officials described as a temporary man, was found Tuesday morning in or near the donation bin at the Goodwill Store in the 300 block of Fair Oaks Avenue. The prosecutor’s report identifies the location of his death as a “sidewalk.”
Pasadena police responded to the scene around 11am after receiving a report of the body in the drop-off area. The man was found along with other donated items and the scene was blocked as detectives were searching for evidence.

The cause of death is listed as “deferred,” but police said drugs are suspected to have played a role.
Created by Adams’ loved ones, the Gofundme page described him as “a dedicated father, a precious son, a loyal brother.”
“It’s so sad that many people thought another unnamed headline had a name, and that their families are deeply saddened,” reads the page.
The verified GoFundMe campaign is seeking help with funerals and commemorative fees and seeking support for Adams’ children.
The investigation into Adams’ death continues.
