A man died Saturday morning after being crushed under an SUV in the San Fernando Valley, authorities said.
According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, a 911 call regarding the incident was received at 10:50 a.m.

When first responders arrived at the scene near the intersection of Vanowen Street and Owensmouth Avenue in Canoga Park, they found a man trapped under the axle of an SUV, LAFD said.
Firefighters quickly rescued the man, who was said to be around 40 years old, but was unable to receive medical help and died at the scene.
Los Angeles Police Department Sergeant John Rodger said a video posted to the Citizen app appears to show a man’s feet underneath a white Kia that was making a right turn onto Owensmouth from a mall parking lot. It’s reflected. Vostad. The driver was identified only as a 17-year-old boy.
The man was riding a scooter on the sidewalk at the time of the collision. Vostad elaborated, adding that he was wearing a helmet.
“The victim hit the ground and slid under the car, after which the car drove over him,” he said.
The victim has not been officially identified.
