One man was killed and two Los Angeles police officers were injured in a traffic collision in Sun Valley.
Tony Im, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department, said the man, about 65, was turning left from Creon Avenue into Satico Street when the crash occurred around 2pm on Saturday.
The two officers headed east of Satico Street with sirens and lights on, and answered a call about a violation of a domestic violence suppression order when a patrol cruiser collided with the man’s vehicle.
The paramedics extracted the man from the car and were asserted that he was dead. The man’s name was not given.
The two officers were taken to hospital due to injuries, but that was not life-threatening, I said.
Images broadcast by KTLA showed a silver Honda sedan that damaged the driver and a LAPD Ford SUV that damaged the front end.
Cleon Avenue has a stop sign where you can meet Saticoy Street and a centre turn lane, but there are no traffic lights or stop signs.
Additional details regarding the incident were not immediately available.
