A man was killed in a crash crash that is suspected of being a DUI driver in Orange County.
On April 2nd, Orange County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a crash at the intersection of Magnolia Avenue and Pacific Avenue in Stanton around 11pm.
The suspect, who was driving a Dodge sedan, collided with a Toyota van in a head-on collision, deputies said. The impact forced the car into a third vehicle parked nearby.
Stanton’s van driver Hoanh Thanh Ngo, 55, was declared dead at the scene by paramedics.
Irvine’s Dodge driver James Anthony DeLeon, 30, was running away from Sheen on foot.
The officers arrived and after a while they found Deleon. He was arrested on suspicion of driving under influence after a prior conviction. He was booked to the Orange County Jail for the murder, causing the DUI to be injured.
A fatal crash is under investigation by a major OCSD accident investigation team.
