Surveillance video filmed a burglar ripping registers from the counter at a Bellflower taco restaurant before running on Tuesday, but it’s not the first time the store has been targeted.
A video of the incident provided by Tacos La Rueda shows two men walking through the restaurant while customers order food. As they leave the counter and look for no one, the man in a blue hoodie walks to the counter and grabs the cash register.
After ripping from the counter, the man joins his accomplice outside of business and jumps into a getaway car where both of them are waiting.
This car looked like an older model from the early 90s, perhaps in the class of Silver Mercedes-Benz with dents on the trunk and driver’s side.

Anyone with information was asked to contact Lakewood Sheriff’s Station.
Tuesday’s crime wasn’t the first one to occur at a restaurant. In 2023, Taco Slaruda was taken twice in the first few weeks after the grand opening.
The restaurant posted surveillance videos on Instagram after each incident.
Following Tuesday’s incident, the restaurant provided a positive message in its Instagram Stories post.
